# Managing Your Subscription

> Upgrade, change seats, or update billing: Stripe subscriptions from the plugin's Account page, Gumroad subscriptions on Gumroad

How you manage your Email Love subscription depends on how you signed up. You can subscribe through Stripe from inside the plugin, or purchase a license through Gumroad. Both paths are fully supported.

## If You Signed Up Through the Plugin (Stripe)

### Upgrading from Free to a Paid Plan

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Account page">
    Open the Email Love plugin and click your profile name in the top left corner to open the **Account** page.

  <Step title="Click Upgrade plan">
    Click **Upgrade plan**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your plan">
    Choose **Starter**, **Growth**, or **Professional**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick your billing period">
    Pick **Monthly** or **Annual** billing. Professional is billed annually.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your seats">
    Set the number of seats you need. Starter and Growth start at 1 seat, Professional at 3 seats.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check out">
    Click **Continue to checkout** and complete the payment on the secure Stripe checkout page.
  </Step>

Your plan activates automatically in the plugin within a few minutes. See [Email Love Subscription Plans](/plugin/account/plans) for what each plan includes.

### Changing Your Plan, Seats, or Payment Details

  <Step title="Open the Account page">
    Open the **Account** page in the plugin.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose what to change">
    Click **Change plan / seats** to switch plans or adjust seat count, or click **Manage Subscription** to open the Stripe billing portal.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Make your changes in Stripe">
    In the Stripe portal you can update your payment method, view invoices, change your billing address, or cancel.

<Note>
  Only the workspace owner can manage billing. If you're a member of someone else's workspace, ask the owner to make plan changes.
</Note>

### If a Payment Fails

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries automatically and emails you to update your payment method. If payment can't be collected, your workspace moves to the Free experience until billing is resolved. Update your card in the Stripe billing portal (**Account** page, then **Manage Subscription**) to restore your plan.

## If You Purchased Through Gumroad

Licenses are still available for purchase on our [Gumroad page](https://emaillove.gumroad.com/l/email-love-figma-plugin), and existing Gumroad subscriptions and license keys work exactly as before:

    Go to your [Gumroad subscription page](https://app.gumroad.com/subscriptions) (or use the **Manage Subscription** link on the plugin's Account page).

  <Step title="Make your changes">
    From there you can change your plan, adjust the number of licensed seats, or update payment details.
  </Step>

<Tip>
  License cost is on a per-seat basis for both Stripe and Gumroad subscriptions.
