Save your customized components and templates

Easily save your components and templates inside of the plugin for use later.

The Email Love Figma plugin allows you to save and reuse your customized email components for faster design workflows.

How to Save a Custom Component

  1. Select Component Type: Choose the component type that best matches what you want to save:
      • Hero
      • Single Column
      • Multi-Column
      • Receipt
      • Image
      • Other component types
  1. Select Your Component: Click on the component you've customized in your Figma frame
  1. Save the Component: Click the blue button in the corresponding section of the plugin (e.g., click the blue button in the "Hero" section if saving a hero component)
  1. Confirmation: You'll see a notification box saying "Adding to [component type]" confirming the save
  1. Access Saved Components: Your saved component will now appear in that section of the plugin for future use

Using Your Saved Components

  1. Create New Email: Start by creating a new frame in Figma
  1. Select Saved Component: Navigate to the appropriate section in the plugin and select your saved component
  1. Add to Frame: The plugin will add a copy of your customized component to your new frame

Managing Saved Components

  • Remove Components: Click the small "X" icon next to any saved component to delete it
  • Unlimited Storage: Save as many customized components as you need within the plugin

Save Custom Email Templates

The plugin's “Customs” section has been enhanced with category organization, enabling you to save a range of template types.

Creating Custom Categories

  1. Access Custom Categories: Navigate to the custom section of the plugin
  1. Create New Category: Click the "Create Category" button
  1. Name Your Category: Create categories based on email types such as:
      • Promotions
      • Newsletters
      • Transactional emails
      • Welcome series
      • Product announcements

Saving Complete Email Templates

  1. Select Entire Email: Instead of selecting individual components, select your complete email design
  1. Add Template: Click the "Add New Template" button
  1. Choose Category: You'll be taken to the category page where you can select the appropriate email type
  1. Save Template: The complete email template will be saved to your selected category

Using Saved Email Templates

  1. Create New Frame: Start with a new frame in Figma
  1. Navigate to Category: Go to your custom categories section
  1. Select Template: Choose the email template you want to use
  1. Click Create: Click the "Create" button to rebuild the complete template in your frame
  1. Customize Content: Update the following elements to match your needs:
      • Images
      • Text content
      • Links and CTAs
  1. Export: Once customized, export your email to your ESP as usual
