Before You Start

The Email Love Figma Plugin works with any Figma plan (Free, Professional, Organization, or Enterprise) on both desktop and browser. You’ll need a Figma account and an active Email Love license to access all features. The plugin runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux: anywhere Figma runs.
The quickest way to get started is from the official plugin listing.
1

Open the plugin page

Open your browser and navigate to the Email Love Figma Plugin page on the Figma Community.
2

Log into Figma

If you’re not already logged into Figma, click Open in Figma to log in first.
3

Choose a project

Click the Open in… button, then select the project where you want to use the plugin, or choose New file to start with a blank canvas.
4

Run or save

Click Run to launch the plugin immediately, or Save to bookmark it for easy access later.

Running the Plugin After Installation

Once saved, you can launch Email Love anytime from within a Figma file:
  1. Open any Figma design file.
  2. Right-click on the canvas and select Plugins > Email Love - HTML Email Builder.
  3. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut: press Cmd + / (Mac) or Ctrl + / (Windows/Linux), then type “Email Love” and press Enter.
The plugin panel will open on the right side of your Figma canvas.

Creating Your Account and Signing In

When you first run the plugin, you’ll see a welcome screen with three options:
  1. Sign up for free: The fastest way to get started. Your browser opens to create a free Email Love account, and the plugin signs you in automatically once you’re done. The Free plan includes 5 HTML exports per month, so you can explore the full plugin before purchasing. No credit card required.
  2. Existing user? Sign in: Signs you into an Email Love account you’ve already created. The browser opens for you to log in, then the plugin picks up your session automatically.
  3. Gumroad License Key: For customers with a Gumroad license. Licenses are still available on our Gumroad page; enter your license key and email address to activate, exactly as before.
Your account is tied to your Figma identity, so you only need to sign in once. Your session carries across all your Figma files and devices. Ready for unlimited exports? See Email Love Subscription Plans for what the paid plans include and how to upgrade from the plugin’s Account page.

Troubleshooting Installation Issues

“I can’t find the plugin in the Figma Community” Make sure you’re searching for “Email Love” (two words). The full name is “Email Love - HTML Email Builder.” If the Community search isn’t returning results, try accessing the direct plugin link. “The plugin won’t run or shows an error” Try these steps in order:
  • Refresh the Figma tab (browser) or restart the Figma desktop app.
  • Clear your Figma cache: go to Help > Troubleshooting > Clear Cache in the desktop app.
  • Make sure you’re using a supported browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari).
  • Check that your Figma app is up to date.
“I clicked Sign up / Sign in but the plugin is still waiting” The plugin waits while you finish signing in through your browser. Make sure you completed the signup or login in the browser tab that opened, then return to Figma. If the plugin is still waiting after a couple of minutes, close and reopen it and try again. “My license key isn’t working” (Gumroad customers) Double-check that you’re copying the full key with no extra spaces. If you’ve recently purchased and haven’t received your key, check your spam folder. Still stuck? Reach out to support@emaillove.com and we’ll get you sorted. “The plugin panel is blank or not loading” This is usually a network issue. Make sure you have a stable internet connection. The plugin needs to communicate with our servers to load components and validate your license. If you’re behind a corporate firewall or VPN, check that Figma plugins aren’t being blocked.
